Autumn, a time of apple harvests, pumpkin patches and changing leaves. New England is one of the best places to experience all of them. With so many places and a limited amount of weekends to have these autumn experiences it’s good to do a little web browsing before you hit the road.

Pumpkin Patches

A full map of Massachusetts gives you a visual of where to find the best patches. Links to assorted pumpkin topics: how to choose one, carve one, eat one - in a pie, what to do with them after Halloween. It’s is one of the more entertaining autumn themed sites for adults and kids.

Apple Picking

Recently published a list of 10 orchards located within an hour’s driving distance from downtown Boston. A Google map to plan your trip, and a listing of each orchard, which includes distance, contact information and rates, makes it easy to choose where to have your apple picking adventure(s) .

Fall Foliage Viewing

With a map, weekly foliage reports and slide shows, this website has all the information for you to make your 2014 leaf viewing experience a magical one to remember. There is also a Kid’s Corner where you’ll find some very fun art projects using leaves. You’ll be able to enjoy the artistry of autumn long after the beautiful colors have faded.
